3、tothepeoplesoftheworldwhoaresowellrepresentedheretoday.Tomycompatriots,IhavenohesitationinsayingthateachoneofusisasintimatelyattachedtothesoilofthisbeautifulcountryasarethefamousjacarandatreesofPretoriaandthemimosatreesofthebushveld。Eachtimeoneofustouchesthesoilofthisland,wefeelasenseofper
4、sonalrenewal。Thenationalmoodchangesastheseasonschange.Wearemovedbyasenseofjoyandexhilarationwhenthegrassturnsgreenandtheflowersbloom.Thatspiritualandphysicalonenessweallsharewiththiscommonhomelandexplainsthedepthofthepainweallcarriedinourheartsaswesawourcountrytearitselfapartinaterriblecon
5、flict，andaswesawitspurned,outlawedandisolatedbythepeoplesoftheworld，preciselybecauseithasbecometheuniversalbaseoftheperniciousideologyandpracticeofracismandracialoppression.We，thepeopleofSouthAfrica,feelfulfilledthathumanityhastakenusbackintoitsbosom，thatwe,whowereoutlawsnotsolongago，havet
