3、ircuitRATIONALEProposalsubmittedby:TomTritto,LightingComplianceSolutions,Inc.InthedisplayindustrymanufacturersarenowincorporatinglowvoltageLEDlightingtechnologytoilluminatetheirshelvingdisplays.Certaindesignsusingconductorsasshelvingsupportsrequirethemechanicalstrengthofgalvanizedsteelinlieu

4、ofcopperandaluminum.ThisproposalisbasedonthefactthatthegalvanizedconductorwouldonlybeacceptablewhenusedforexposedbareconductorsontheoutputofalowvoltageClass2supply.ThelimitedoutputenergyandcurrentoftheClass2supplyminimizestheriskoffireandshockhazardandeliminatestheconcernforoverloadconnection

5、issues.Thegalvanizedsteeliscorrosionprotectedwhentheprocessofthezincplatingisaddedtotheferrousmaterial.Zincplatedsteelisusedonotherelectricalapplicationslikecontactsforbatteries.PROPOSAL51.2InadditiontorequirementsspecifiedinPart2,luminairesshallalsocomplywiththefollowingrequirementsinPart1of
