3、eachingmaterials.Underthecertaineducationalbackground,theauthorfirstlystudiesthepresentsituationofEnglishteachingandlearninginChinacarefullyandputsforwardthepossibilityandthenecessityofusingnewspaperstoenhancestudents’communicativelanguagecompetence.Then,theauth

4、orexploresthetheoriessuchasinputhypothesis,affectivefilterhypothesis,principlesofcommunicativeapproachandauthenticityofthematerials.Inordertomakenewspaperreadingeasier,theauthorshowsthefeaturesofnewspapersbrieflyandanalyzestheadvantagesofusingthemasteachingresou

6、dfeasibilityoftheapplicationaswellasthelimitationsandtheimplicationsforChina’sEnglishteachingandlearning.TeachingEnglishbyusingEnglishnewspapersassupplementaryteachingmaterialsisanewtypeofteachingandmoreefforts,applicationsandresearchescanmakeittothefulldisplay.
