3、edwithcoupledpipelines,hoselines,andtemporarystoragetanks.Inundevelopedareas,tankersbringininitialfuelsupplies.TheArmysuppliesitsowndistributionsystem.ThequartermasterpetroleumgroupisresponsibleforthesupplyanddistributionofbulkfuelinaTO.Abulk-petroleumdistri
4、butionsystemisthenetworkthatgetsbulkfueltousingunits.Thesystemcanconsistofocean-tankerloadingandunloadingfacilities,storageterminals,pumpstations,pipelines,hoselines,ClassIIIsupplypoints,tankvehicles,andrailtankcars.InanundevelopedTO,thebulk-petroleumdistrib
5、utionssystem(Figure1-1,page1-2)consistsoftacticalpetroleumterminals(TPTs),hoselines,fuel-systemsupplypoints(FSSPs),andtankvehicles.InadevelopedTO,thesameitemsmentionedabovenormallyconsistoffixedfacilities(Figure1-2,page1-3).Pipelinesareusedasfarforwardasthec
6、orps’reararea.Therestofthesysteminthecorpsanddivisionareasconsistsofportablefacilities.Thebasicpetroleum-operatingconceptistokeepstoragetanksfullatalltimes.Thescheduleforfuelmovementthroughthesystemisbasedonstoragecapacityandproductdemand.Constantcommunicati
