3、iedtoembeddedsystemofothertypes.I.INTRODUCTIONEmbeddedsystemsarefoundeverywhere,includingincellulartelephones,pagers,VCRs,camcorders,thermostats,curbsiderental-carcheck-indevices,automatedsupermarketstockers,computerizedinventorycontroldevices,digitalthermometers,tele
4、phoneansweringmachines,printers,portablevideogames,TVset-topboxes--thelistgoeson.Demandforembeddedsystemislarge,andisgrowingrapidly.Inordertodelivercorrect-the-first-timeproductswithcomplexsystemrequirementsandtime-to-marketpressure,designverificationisvitalintheembed
5、dedsystemdesignprocess.Apossiblechoiceforverificationistosimulatethesystembeingdesigned.Ifahigh-levelmodelforthesystemisused,simulationisfastbutmaynotbeaccurateenough,withalow-levelmodeltoomuchtimemayberequiredtoachievethedesiredlevelofconfidenceinthequalityoftheevalu
6、ation.Sincedebuggingofrealsystemshastotakeintoaccountthebehaviorofthetargetsystemaswellasitsenvironment,runtimeinformationisextremelyimportant.Therefore,staticanalysiswithsimulationmethodsistooslowandnotsufficient.Andsimulationcannotrevealdeepissuesinrealphysicalsyste
