2、ail:wuwm@ncche.olemiss.eduAbstractTheCCHE1Dmodelwasdesignedtosimulatelong-termflowandsedimenttransportinchannelnetworkstosupporttheDECproject.Ituseseitherthedynamicwaveorthediffusivewavemodeltocomputeunsteadyflowsinchannelnetworkswithcompoundcrosssections,takingintoaccounttheeffectsofin-streamhydr
3、aulicstructures,suchasculverts,weirs,dropstructures,andbridgecrossings.Itsimulatesnon-uniformsedimenttransportusinganon-equilibriumapproach,andcalculatesbanktoeerosionandmassfailureduetochannelincision.TheCCHE1Dmodeldecouplestheflowandsedimenttransportcalculationsbutcouplesthecalculationsofnon-uni
4、formsedimenttransport,bedchangesandbedmaterialsortinginordertoenhancethenumericalstabilityofthemodel.Inthispaper,thesensitivityofCCHE1Dtoparameterssuchasthenon-equilibriumadaptationlengthofsedimenttransportandthemixinglayerthicknessisevaluatedincasesofchannelaggradationanddegradationinlaboratoryfl
5、umesaswellasinanaturalchannelnetwork.Inthecaseofchanneldegradation,thesimulatedscourprocessisnotsensitivetovariationinvaluesofthenon-equilibriumadaptationlength,butthedeterminationofthemixinglayerthicknessisimportanttothecomputationsoftheequilibriumscourdepthandofthebed-materialsizedistributionatt
6、hearmoringlayer.Thesimulatedbedprofilesinthecaseofchannelaggradationandthecalculatedsedimentyieldinthecaseofnaturalchannelnetworkareinsensitivetotheprescriptionofboththenon-equilibriumadaptationlengthandthemixinglayerthickness.TheCCHE1Dmodelcanprovidereliableresultsevenwhenthesetwoparametersaregiv
