3、ativeadverbialconjunctionsforparativeresearch.Theseeightplyoppositionandcontrast,evencontradictionanysimilarities.ThemaintaskofparativelinguisticsistoseekthesimilaritiesbetaintasksofparativestudybetostcontroversialandproblematicpartofspeechintheresearchofChinese.Quirketal.(1985:438
4、)pointoutthatasthegreatheterogeneityofEnglishadverbs,theyarethemostambiguousandconfusingpartofspeech.Infact,adverbsarenotlikeotherpartsofspeechberofpapersandrelatedostimportance.Inthematterofmonographs,studiesonadverbsaccountforasignificantproportion,onographsondisjunctiveaticcases
