1、AbstractAbstractDuXunheisafamouspoetinLaterTangDynasty.Thisessaymainlyfocusesonhisthought,thecontentsandcharacteristicsofhispoems,aswellashisachievementandinfluence,basedonwhichanassessmentismadeaboutthepoetandhispoems.Hehadextraordinaryambitionwhenhewasjustayoungboy,andwiththisgreatdreaminmin
2、d,hekeptstrivingforit.Henotonlylearntfromformergenerations,butalsobravelyconcentratedonthesubjectsthathadbeenimpossibleinothers’eyes.InfluencedbyConfucianism,DuXunhewroteaseriesofworks,inwhichhisideaaboutliteraturewasembodied.However,dozensofyears’continuouseffortdidn’thelpDu’sdreamcometrue,bu
3、tchangedthestrongandambitiousyouthintoapessimistoldmaninpoorhealthcondition.Suchexperiencesmadeagreatstrikeonhim,andhisthoughtsturnedtoBuddhism.Fallingintoacontrastbetweenmakingprogressandretiringfromsociety,Duwroteaboutthepainandstruggleinhismind.Du’sworkscoverawiderange,includingthesorrowofn
4、otbeadmittedformanytimes;theexpressionoffeelingsthroughdescriptionofthingsandsceneries;thesatireofsocietyandsoon.Basedonthecontentsofhisworks,thisessaymainlyfocusesonthreepointsabouthiswriting:first,expressinghisownfeelings,andhavingfaithintheimperialexamination;second,mirroringthereality,andc
5、aringaboutthelifeofthemasses;third,conveyinghisdesire,andlongingforpeace.Duaimedtopasstheimperialexamination,whichwastheonlychoiceofmostintellectualsinfeudalsocieties.However,IntheLaterTangDynasty,witheverythingdeclining,itwasnotsurprisingnottopassingtheexamformanyatime.Commonwordswereusedinhi
6、spoems.Theywerenotpolished,andtherewerenoembellishmentsinhiswriting,whichmadehispoemsfeelnatural.Fewallusionsandmanycommonsayingsmadethetopicsapparent.Thesecharacteristicsofhispoemswerecloselyrelatedtohispoliticalidea,hisliteraryview,aswellashisownwaytocreatepoems.Hispoemscarriedontherealistic
