4、multimediaterminals,allowingafastsystemsimulationwithadefinabledegreeofaccuracy.Thedesignapproachincludesthesimulationofverylonginstructionword(VLIW)digitalsignalprocessors(DSPs),theutilizationofadevicemultiplexingthemediastreams,andtheemulationofthereal-timemediaacquisition.Thismethodologyallowsthe

5、evaluationofboththemultimediaalgorithmimplementationsandthehardwareplat-form,givingfeedbackonthecompleteSoCincludingtheinteractionbetweenmodulesandconflictsinaccessingeitherthebusorsharedresources.Aninstructionsetarchitecture(ISA)simulatorandanSoCsimulationenvironmentcomposetheintegratedframework.In
