4、RNAhelicasesareinvolvedineverystepofRNAmetabolism,includingnucleartranscription,pre-mRNAsplicing,ribosomebiogenesis,Keywords:nucleocytoplasmictransport,translation,RNAdecay,andorganellargeneexpression.TheRNAhelicaseproteinGenome-wideanalysisfamilyplaysacrucialroleinplantgrowthanddevelopmentasw
5、ellasinresponsetobioticandabioticstresses.RNAhelicaseGenefamilyHowever,unlikeArabidopsis,nodetailedinformationregardingtheRNAhelicasefamilyiscurrentlyavailableforSolanumlycopersicumtomato(Solanumlycopersicum)duetoalimitednumberofwhole-genomesequences.Inthisstudy,weidentifiedatotalof157RNAhelica
6、segenesinthetomatogenome.AccordingtothestructuralfeaturesofthemotifIIregion,weclassifiedthetomatoRNAhelicasegenesintoDEAD-box,DEAH-boxandDExD/H-boxhelicasegenes.Butthereare27RNAhelicasesnotbelongingtothisthreesubfamilies,wecalledthat“otherhelicase”.Wemappedthe157RNAhelicasegenesontothetomatochr
7、omosomes,whichrangefromchr01tochr12.MicroarrayandexpressedsequencetagdatashowedthatmanyoftheseRNAhelicaseproteinsmaybeinvolvedindiversebio-logicalprocessesandresponsestovariousstresses.Toourknowledge,thisisthefirstreportofagenome-wideana
