2、donline:©Springer-VerlagLondonLimited2006AbstractWirefeedrateplaysavitalroleindeterminingtheweldcharacteristicsingasmetalarcwelding(GMAW).ThewirefeedrateisaffectedbyanychangeinweldingcurrentinthecaseofsteadycurrentGMAweldingandbyanychangeinfrequency,peakcurrent,basecurrentan

3、ddurationofpeakandbasecurrentsinthecaseofpulsedGMAwelding.Topredictthewirefeedrateforanysetoftheseparameters,amathematicalmodelwasdevelopedfromtheresultsobtainedbyconductingexperiments.Electroderesistanceheatingconstantandarcresistanceheatingconstantwerealsodeterminedbyfitti

4、ngaregressionmodel.TheaboveparametricconstantshavebeenusedtosimulatethewirefeedratesforpulsedGMAweldingfordifferentpulseparametersusingMATLAB.Theeffectsofpulseparametersontheburnofffactorandburnoffrateswerealsoanalysed.TheinvestigationwascarriedoutusingAWS5.22-95fillerwireo
