2、typeforother,moreintricateconstructionstodescribeforcesbetweenelementaryparticlesorotherbranchesoffundamentalphysics.Thisiswhyinanintroductiontogeneralrelativityitisofimportancetoseparateasclearlyaspossiblethevariousingredientsthattogethergiveshapetothisparadigm.Afterexplainingthephysicalmotivatio
3、nswefirstintroducecurvedcoordinates,thenaddtothisthenotionofanaffineconnectionfieldandonlyasalaterstepaddtothatthemetricfield.Onethenseesclearlyhowspaceandtimegetmoreandmorestructure,untilfinallyallwehavetodoisdeduceEinstein’sfieldequations.Asforapplicationsofthetheory,theusualonessuchasthegravitationalr
