3、sorbenergythatcouldotherwisedousefulwork.ThecollapseoftheTacomaNarrowsBridgein1940isanexampleofstructuralfailureduetoexcessivestressesproducedbyvibrations.Theaccuracyofprecisioninstruments,tools,andmachinesmaybeimpairedbyexcessivevibrations.Rotatingmachine
