1、ABSTRACTSincethe1980s,aseriesofregulatoryreformshavebeencarriedoutinChina'selectricpowerindustry,thepaceofdevelopmentisacceleratingandvariouseconomicindiceshaveimproved.However,theoverallefficiencyoftheelectricpowerindustryhasnotincreasedsignificantly,electricityreformhasalongw
2、aytogo.ThispaperwillanalysisthechangeoftotalfactorproductivityandthefactorsthatinfluenceonTFPduring1990-2011.Basedonthisanalysis,aseriesofpolicieswillbeproposed.Itisimportantforpowerindustrytobuildasustained,stable,andhealthydevelopmentsystemandimprovequantityandefficiency.Firs
3、tly,theresearchmethodandresultsofTFPathomeandabroadaresummarizedinthisthesis.Secondly,theauthorintroducedcurrentsituationofthepowerindustrythroughconcludedtheprocessofChina’spowerindustryrefrom,andpointedthemainproblemsofpowerindustryinChinaatpresent,forexampleimperfectpricingm
4、echanism,unreasonablepowerstructure,theslowlyprocessofprivatization.ThenelaboratedandcomparedthemethodofcalculatingTFP.Basedonthisanalysis,thenewmeasuredofcalculatingTFPduring1990-2011wasinduced,ie,combinationoflatentvariablemethod(LV)andpotentialoutputmethod(PO).Finally,someim
5、portantfactorsthatinfluencedonTFParediscussed.ThemainfindingsandconclusionsofthepowerindustriesTFPwillbediscussedasfollows:(1)theoverallTFPofChina’spowerindustrieshasbeenimprovedduringtheyear1990-2011;(2)China’spowerindustryTFPshowinganoverallupwardtrendafterpowersystemreform;(
6、3)theownershipstructure,theelectricitypriceandthepowerstructure(powerratio)wereallsignificantlynegativelywithTFPandTE(technicalefficiency),andhadnosignificantlyrelationswithTP(technicalprogress).;(4)capitaldeepening(capital-outputratio)negativelycorrelatedwithTFPandTPandTE.(5)s
