2、xperimentsshowedthatthereisatightrelationshipbetweenthereleaseefficiencyofheavymetalsfromthesedimentandthechemicalspeciationinsediment.Intheprocessofchemicaloxidationofmicrowaveassistedhydrogenperoxidetreatingheavymetalsinsediment,thechemicalspeciationof

3、heavymetalsinsedimentsgreatlydeterminesthereleaseefficiencyofheavymetals.Microwaveassistedhydrogenperoxideoxidationtechnologycanlowerthecontentofheavymetalsinacidsoluble/exchangeable,reducible,andoxidizablerespectively,andhigherthecontentofheavymetalsinr

4、esidualform.Aftertreatmentbythisprocess,themetalsinthesedimenthavehigherstabilityandthuslowerrisktotheenvironment.Finally,themicrowaveassistedhydrogenperoxideoxidationtechnologyjustcansolvepartoftheheavymetalsharmandsomeheavymetalheavymetalsinsedimentsra

5、therthanalltheharmofheavymetalsinsediments.Forextremelyhighsedimentpollution(suchassedimentfromXiawanRiver),thistechnologycannotcompletelysolvetheproblem.Whileforothersedimentsamples,thistechniquecangreatlyreducethehazardsofheavymetals,butstillcannotsolv

6、eproblemofsomeheavymetals.ForthehighpollutionofheavymetalsCdandZn,theycannotbeaddressed.ForheavymetalsCu,PbandCr,thecontentarerelativelyhigh,andthistechnologycansolvetheproblemsofthisthreeheavymetalspollutioninsediment.Inbrief,thereleasebehaviorofheavyme

7、talsduringtreatmentofdredgedsedimentbythechemicaloxidationofmicrowaveassistedhydrogenperoxidewasinvestigatedinthisstudy.Themechanismsoftheheavymetalsreleaseandtheeffectofthischemicaloxidationprocessonheavymetalspeciationwerepreliminarilyexplored.Also,the
