1、AbstractFractalimagecompressing(FIC)takesadvantageofself-similaritywhichexistsintheimagescommonly.Itusestheself-similarityindifferentscalesofimagetoremovethegeometryredundancyandachieveaveryhighcompressionratio.However,themaindrawbacksofFICaretheexpensivecomputationalcostintheencodingprocess,theb

2、lock-effectindecodingimage,etc.Thisauthorstudiesmainlyhowtoimproveimagequalityandruntimeintheencodingprocess.Theprojectissupportedbythementorprojectfunds.Themainresearchworkcanbeorganizedinthefollowingaspects:1.Basedonintroducingtheimageencodingandfractaltheory,thispaperanalyzedtheexistingFICalgo

3、rithmsystematically.ThentheemphasiswasprogrammingforthebasicFICalgorithm(Jacquinalgorithm).Ittestedtheencodingtime,imagecompressionratioandthepeakvaluesignal-to-noiseratioaftercompressedtheselectionofdifferentimageandobjectivelyanalyzedtheadvantagesanddisadvantagesofthebasicFICalgorithm.Forresolv

4、ingtheproblemauthormainlysumsupsomecommonstrategy.2.Basedonthesemi-normalgorithm,thispaperpresentedanimprovedalgorithmonimagesegmentationstrategy,themodeofsamplingcontractionforthecodebookandsearchforthenearestfartherblock.Inthisway,itcanreducethesearchingrangeofthematchedblockandimprovethematche

5、daccuracy,andinordertocutwaybackonthecodingtimeandimprovedecodingimagequality.Experimentalresultsshowthatthenewalgorithmcanmaintainthecodingtimewhilereducingboxeffectandprovingthequalityoftheimage.3.Basedonresearchingtheimagewaveletcoefficientscorrelation,afastfractalimagecodingalgorithmispropose
