3、educeemployeefrustration.Toovercomeflawsinthemeasurementofsatisfactionforthispurposeemployeesthemselvesneedtobemoreinvolvedinthemeasurementprocess.Recentexperiencewithemployeeparticipationinactionresearchonqualityofworkinglifeisnoted,andtheextensionandfurth

4、eranceofthismodelisproposed.Jobsatisfactionasaconcepthasbecomeanembarrassingambiguity.Formanyinvestigatorsinthesocialsciences,aninterestinjobsatisfactionfrequentlyrepresentsaninterestinqualityofworkinglifeandindustrialhumanism,andsuggestsaconcernwithimprovi

5、ngtheexperienceofpeoplewithjobsandwork.Sincethe1930sthisinteresthasbeenconcernedwithmonitoringthefactorymodelofworkdesignwhichhasbeendiffusedfrommanufacturingintotheserviceandclericalsectors.Itmustbeasserted,however,thatmuchofwhathaspassedforjobsatisfaction

6、researchhasfailedtostudythejobortheworkitself.Jobsatisfactionresearchhashistoricallybeenusedeithertosupportortoattackthestatusquo,andthetrendcontinues-Theembarrassmentwithrespecttojob'satisfaction1measurementisthatsurveysofAmericanemployeescontinuetoshowtha
