5、erninglearners’differentneedsandinterests.Nowadays,ESPhasbecomepopularinlanguagelearningandteachingaroundtheworld.HallidayandMcintoshdefineESPasEnglishforcivilservants,forpolicemen,forofficialsofthelaw,fordoctorsandnurses,forspecialistsinagriculture,for[6]engineersandfitters.Themostinflu
6、entialdefinitionofESPisproposedbyHutchinsonandWaterswhoinsistthatESPreferstoEnglishrelevanttothecertain[5]occupationordiscipline.Itisalsodefinedasanapproachtolanguagelearningand[5]teachingwhichaimstomeettheneedsofparticularlearners.Forexample,MedicalEnglish,DigitalControlEnglish,TourismE
