5、saidsitsmanagement;ontologiesserveascontrolledvocabulariesthatpromotedataexchangeandre-use,improvinganalysis.TheEdinburghMouseAtlasProjectstoresthedevelopmentalstagesofthemouseembryoinanatomyontologies.Thisprojectislookingattheuseofvisualdataoverviewsforintuitiveanalysisoftheon
6、tologydata.Results:Aprototypehasbeendevelopedthatvisualisestheontologiesusingdirectedacyclicgraphsintwodimensions,withtheabilitytostudydetailinregionsofinterestinisolationorwithinthecontextoftheoverview.Thisisfollowedbythedevelopmentofatechniquethatlayersindividualanatomyontolo
7、giesinthree-dimensionalspace,sothatrelationshipsacrossmultipledatasetsmaybemappedusingphysicallinksdrawnalongthethirdaxis.Conclusion:Usabilityevaluationsoftheapplicationsconfirmedadvantagesinvisualanalysisofcomplexdata.Thisprojectwilllooknextatdatainputfrommultiplesources,andco
