2、S.A.2ComputerArchitectureDepartment,TechnicalUniversityofCatalunya,Barcelona,SpainSUMMARYThispaperanalyzestheoverheadsincurredintheexploitationofloop-levelparallelismusingJavaThreadsandproposessomecodetransformationsthatminimizethem.ThetransformationsavoidtheintensiveuseofJavaThreadsandredu
3、cethenumberofclassesusedtospecifytheparallelismintheapplication(whichreducesthetimeforclassloading).TheuseofsuchtransformationsresultsinpromisingperformancegainsthatmayencouragetheuseofJavaforexploitingloop-levelparallelismintheframeworkofOpenMP.Onaverage,theexecutiontimeforoursyntheticbenc
