2、aset.ThismodelbuildsonpreviousworkbyLowesandAltoontashin2003,modifyingthepreviouslyproposedmodeltoimprovepredictionofresponseandextendtherangeofapplicability.First,anewelementformulationisproposedtoimprovesimulationofjointresponsemechanisms.Second,ane

3、wmethodforsimulatingtheshearstress-strainresponseofthejointcoreisdeveloped.Thismethodassumesjointshearistransferredthroughaconfinedconcretestrutandsimulatesstrengthlossduetoloadhistoryandjointdamagefollowingyieldingofbeamlongitudinalsteel.Third,modifica
