2、明显，为了满足经济增长及产业发展的需要，龙岩地区铁路扩能势在必行。本文论述了铁路能力和线路扩能的一般原则、既有线扩能改造方案及措施，从经济发展、城市建设、社会事业、矿产资源及水资源分布和交通发展等方面深入分析了龙岩地区扩能改造的背景，并根据该地区的客货运量预测，探讨了龙岩地区铁路扩能改造的必要性，提出龙岩地区铁路扩能发展措施。以龙岩铁路有限公司管辖范围内的客货运站为背景站，提出了扩能改造方案、建设时机，进行了投资估算及经济评估；并描述了龙厦铁路修建的相关内容。关键词：龙岩地区，经济发展，铁路运输，扩能ABSTR
