3、bleonline6March2007AbstractProbabilisticparadigmsforwindturbinecontrollerdesignhavebeengainingattention.Motivationderivesfromtheneedtoreplaceoutdatedempirical-baseddesignswithmorephysicallyrelevantmodels.ThispaperproposesanadaptivecontrollerintheformofalinearquadraticGaussian(LQG)forcontrolofast

4、all-regulated,variablespeedwindturbinegenerator(WTG).Inthecontrolscheme,thestrategyistwofold:maximizationofenergycapturedfromthewindandminimizationofthedamagecausedbymechanicalfatigueduetovariationoftorquepeaksgeneratedbywindgusts.Estimatedaerodynamictorqueandrotationalspeedareusedtodeterminethe

5、mostfavorablecontrolstrategytostabilizetheplantatalloperatingpoints(OPs).Theperformanceoftheproposedcontrolleriscomparedwiththeclassicalproportional-integral-derivative(PID)controller.TheLQGisseentobesignificantlymoreefficientespeciallyinthealleviationofhighaerodynamictorquevariationsandhencemecha
