3、themmeasuredonoutcropsmationhistory.Whileseismicattributeshavebeenusedfor(Lisle,1994;Roberts,2001).Morerecently,volumetriccurva-nearlyfourdecades,someofthemostsignificantattributetureattributeshavebecomepopular,enablinginterpreterstodevelopmentsandapplicationsdidnotappearorgaindeline
4、atesmallflexures,folds,mounds,anddifferentialacceptanceuntilthepervasiveuseof3Dseismictechnologycompactionfeaturesonhorizonsthathavenotbeenexplic-intheearly1990s.BahorichandFarmer’s,(1995)coherenceitlypickedandthatareotherwisecontinuousandnotseenattributehasbecomeacommoninterpretatio
5、ntool,beingbycoherence.Inthisarticlewediscusscurvatureattributesandsomeoftheirapplications.Inageneralsense,curvatureisameasureofhowdeformedasurfaceisataparticularpoint.Themoredeformedthesurface,thelargeritscurvature.Bycouplingsuchquantita-tiveobservationsofstructuraldeformationseenas
6、flexuresandfoldsalongwithmoreconventionalimagesoffaults,geoscientistscanusewell-establishedmodelsofstructuraldeformationcoupledwithwellcontrol,topredictpaleostressandareasfavorabletonaturalfractures.Curvatureallowsustomapstratigraphicfeaturesinadditiontofaultsandfrac-tures,asweshalld
