3、AbstractDuringthelastfewdecades,environmentalimpactofthepetroleum-basedtransportationinfrastructure,alongwiththepeakoil,hasledtorenewedinterestinanelectrictransportationinfrastructure.Thisgaveapushtodevelopmentofelectricandhybridelectricvehicletechnology.Five-pha

4、sepermanentmagnetsynchronousmotor(PMSM)attractsagreatattentionfromresearchers,asattractionmotorforelectricvehicles(EV)duetoitsreliabilityandefficiency.Inordertofullyutilizeitscapabilities,anadvancedspeedandtorquecontroltechniqueisneeded.InrealEVapplicationsmultip

5、hasedriversaresubjecttovariousdisturbanceswhichmaycomeinternallyandexternally.Focusofthisworkisonimprovementoftorqueandspeedcontrolalgorithmofafive-phasePMSM.Traditionallinearcontrollersarenotcapabletocopewiththesedisturbancesaswellasnonlinearones.Thisresearchpro

6、posesanenchainedPIcontrollerforthecurrentloop,andaslidingmodecontrol(SMC)basedcontrollerwithadisturbanceobserverforthespeedcontrolloop.TheproposedenchainedPIcontrollerforthecurrentloophasashowedsmallersettlingtimeofq-axiscurrent,thatoftraditionalPIcontrollerwitho

7、utoccurrenceoftheovershoot.TheproposedSMCforthespeedcontrolloophasasimpleandrobuststructure,inpairwithdisturbanceobserveritguaranteesfastconvergeofrealspeedtothereference.Thereisnoovershootintheresponseandmotor’sspeediskeptstableeveninthepresenceofcertainloaddist
