3、ironspeciesinthepreparedcatalystwasFe3O4becauseofthepartialreductionofiron(III)toiron(II)onthesurfaceofCMK-3.ThehighcatalyticactivityofthecatalystarisesfromtheformationofFe3O4onthesurfaceofCMK-3andthehighselectivityforphenolisattributedtotheconsumptionofexcess

4、hydroxylradicalsbyCMK-3.Theeffectoftemperature,reactiontime,volumeofH2O2,andamountofcatalystonthecatalyticperformanceofthepreparedcatalystwereinvestigated.Underoptimizedconditions,thecatalystshowedexcellentcatalyticperformanceforthehydroxylationofbenzenetophen

5、oland18%benzeneconversionwasachievedwith92%selectivity−1forphenolandwithaTOFvalueof8.7h.Thestabilityofcatalystwasinvestigatedbydeterminingitsactivityafterthefourthrunanditwasfoundtohavedecreasedto80%ofthefreshcatalyst’sactivity.Keywords:nanoporouscarbon;ferrof
