4、cognizedtospecifyatypeofproperty-denotingexpressions,suchastheadjectivelong.Onesubordinatefeatureof[+gradable]is[+superlative],whichhasbeenidentifiedforproperty-denotingexpressions(e.g.thelongest).Wewillshowthatthefeature[+exhaustive]isthecounterpartof[+superlative]ineventual
5、ity-denotingcontexts(includingbothstatesandevents),beyondtheproperty-denotingcontexts.Both[+superlative]and[+exhaustive]meanthehighestdegreeofa[gradable/measurable]x,whichisapropertyoreventuality.Ireporttheexistenceofexhaustiveexpressionsinsection2,andnon-exhaustiveexpression
