4、)blendsforflameresistantapplicationwereinvestigated.TheamountoftheTPPadditivewasvariedat0to10wt%.TheresultsrevealedthatthevalueoftheimpactstrengthdecreasedwithanincreasingcontentoftheTPP.Fromdynamicmechanicalanalysis,twoglasstransitiontemperatures(Tg’s)fo

5、rPCandABSphasesat158andO125C,respectively,oftheblendclearlysuggestedtheimmisciblenatureofthetwopolymersthoughwithsomedegreeofmixing.TheamountoftheTPPadditivewassystematicallyvaried.Theresultsrevealedthatthevalueoftheglasstransitiontemperature(Tg)fromTanδo

6、fthePC/ABSblenddecreasedwithincreasingthecontentofTPP.Incontrast,withincreasingthecontentsofTPP,thestrangemodulioftheblendspecimensatroomtemperaturesystematicallyincreased.Furthermore,SEMmicrographsrevealedthatTPPcrystalswereformedintheABSrichphaserathert

7、haninthePCrichphase.ThepresenceoftheTPPcrystalspredominantlyinthePCphasewasalsoconfirmedbyacidandbaseetchingtechniquestodissolvetheABS,andthePCphases,respectively.Thecrystalformationexplainedthedeteriorationoftheimpactpropertiesoftheblend.TheV-0categoryof
