3、cherswhohavebeeninvolvedintheaction-research(Whitehead,1989,Elliot,1991,CarrandKemmis,1993,McNiff,1999,McNiff,Lomaxand,KemmisandWilkinson,1998)agreethatamongtheimportantfeaturesofactionresearcharethefollowingcharacteristics:*Itisinclusive:theresearcherand
4、subjectoftheresearcharethesameperson,andthecentralresearchquestionis:“HowcanIimprovemypractice?”*Itiscollaborative:theresearchercollaborateswithotherresearchers,colleagues,facilitators,andcriticalfriends,etc.*Itisdemocratic:itcanbedonebyanybodywhohasthemo
5、tivationandthedesiretounderstandandtoimproveeducationalpractices,regardlessofage,gender,socialstatus,occupationandothercharacteristicsoftheresearcher.*Itisalearningprocess:focusingonlearning,andacquiringnewknowledge,skillsandattitudesandtheirqualitativeim
6、provement.*Itiscriticalandtransformative:action-researchdoesnotintendfortheresearchermerelytoimprovehisorhertechnicalskills.Rather,actionresearchshouldhelphimorhertoviewhisorherownworkcriticallyandwithinthegeneralcontextwithinwhichheorsheworks.Thisreflect
7、iveprocessisintendedtograduallybuildawarenessofpracticeandtopromotetheemancipationoftheresearcher.ThecontentoftheactionresearchTheactionresearchthathasbeencarriedoutbyteacherswasmainlyconcernedwiththedesign,production,anduseintheclassroomofinterculturalle
