2、sodifferentastobemutuallyunintelligiblethatwecallthemseparatelanguages.Aspeakerofoneofthem,nomatterhowskillfulandfluent,cannotcommunicatewithaspeakerofanotherunlessoneofthem,aswesay,“learnstheother’slanguage.”Yetthesedifferences,greatastheyare,aredifferencesofdetail—differencesofthekindsofso
