3、ustedtoTechnicalCommitteeB/521Executionofsteelstructures,withtheassistanceofB/525/10Bridges.Alistoforganizationsrepresentedonthiscommitteecanbeobtainedonrequesttoitssecretary.AdditionalinformationBSI,asamemberofCEN,isobligedtopublishEN1090-2:2008asaBritishStandard.However,attenti
4、onisdrawntothefactthatduringthedevelopmentofthisEuropeanStandard,theUKcommitteevotedagainstitsapprovalasaEuropeanStandard.ThereasonfortheUKcommitteevotewasbecauseofconcernsaboutpossiblemisspecificationintermsofexecutionclassesandweldqualitylevelsinparticular.Ifrealized,theseconce
5、rnsabouttherangeandthebasisofsomeofthechoicescouldleadeithertounder-specificationandinadequatesafetyortoover-specificationandpossiblebarrierstotrade.Theseissuesaredescribedmorefullybelow,togetherwithsuggestionsthatshouldavoidtheserisks.Thisstandardgivesthetechnicalrequirementsfor
6、theexecution(fabricationanderection)ofsteelstructuresandisasupportingstandardfortheharmonizedstandardBSEN1090-1,Executionofsteelstructuresandaluminiumstructures–Part1:Requirementsforconformityassessmentofstructuralcomponents.ConformityassessmenttoBSEN1090-1requiresthatthemanufact
