5、dtoexhibitanadaptiveresponse,insteadarapidlossofviableplatecountwasnoticed.ResultsfromWesternblotexperimentsrevealedtheabsenceofamajorcoldshockprotein,CS7.4.Also,adecreasedlevelofCTXwasnoticedinV.choleraeO1culturesexposedto5or15◦Cafterfirstbeingexposedto15◦Cfor2h,followedby
6、transferto5◦C.ReducedexpressionofCTXatcoldtemperatures,comparedtotheculturesmaintainedat35◦C,maybearesultofdecreasedcellularmetabolicactivity.WhenV.choleraeO1cultureswereexposedto15◦Cfor2h,elevatedexpressionsof8,26and194kDa,anddecreasedexpressionof28and183kDaproteinsoccurr
