2、rightinpoliticsandnoonewouldhireapersonlackinginskillsandknowledge.However,conditionshavechanged.USWomen’sStatusTodayEducationPoliticsEconomyexpressiveformEducationInthepast,womenreceivedlittleschoolingbecausetheirliveswentaroundhome.In1970,womenjustearned17%ofbachelordegreesinthenaturalsciences

3、,computerscience,andengineering.in1998,womeneared57%ofmaster’sdegreesand42%ofdoctorates(including56%ofallPh.D.sinsociology).WomenhavealsobrokenintomanyfieldsthatusedtobeoccupiedbyalmostallmalesPoliticsin1874,women’ssuffragewasnotarightinherentinthenationalcitizenship.Infactwomenwerelegallybarred
