3、edevelopedworldby2020isrequired,risingto 60 %-80 %by2050,thatthisHavingregardtotheTreatyestablishingtheEuropeanCommureductionistechnicallyfeasibleandthebenefitsfaroutnity,andinparticularArticle 175(1)thereof,weighthecosts,butthat,toachieveit,allmitigationop
4、tionsmustbeharnessed.HavingregardtotheproposalfromtheCommission,HavingregardtotheopinionoftheEuropeanEconomicand(4)Carbondioxidecaptureandgeologicalstorage(CCS)isaSocialCommittee(1),bridgingtechnologythatwillcontributetomitigatingclimatechange.Itconsistsoft
5、hecaptureofcarbondioxide(CO2)fromindustrialinstallations,itstransporttoastorAfterconsultingtheCommitteeoftheRegions,agesiteanditsinjectionintoasuitableundergroundgeologicalformationforthepurposesofpermanentstorage.Thistechnologyshouldnotserveasanincentiveto
6、ActinginaccordancewiththeprocedurelaiddowninArticle 251increasetheshareoffossilfuelpowerplants.ItsdevelopoftheTreaty(2),mentshouldnotleadtoareductionofeffortstosupportenergysavingpolicies,renewableenergiesandothersafeandsustainablelowcarbontechnologies,both
