2、atorsandmoderatorsrequiresanintegratedresearchdesignratherthanthedataanalysesdrivenapproachoftenseenintheliterature.Thispaperdescribedtheconceptualfoundation,researchdesign,dataanalysis,aswellasinferencesinvolvedinamediationand/ormoderationinvestigationinbothexperimentalandnon-
3、experimental(i.e.,correlational)contexts.Theessentialdistinctionsbetweentheinvestigationofmediatorsandmoderatorsweresummarizedandjuxtaposedinanexampleofacausalrelationshipbetweentestdifficultyandtestanxiety.Inaddition,themoreelaboratemodels,moderatedmediationandmediatedmoderatio
