3、Iprovidesinformationondonorcontributionsandinvestmentincome,grantcommitmentsanddisbursementsandfundsavailableforcommitment.SectionIIIprovidesanupdateonseveralfinancialmanagementaspectsoftheTrustFund.GiventheextensiveongoingjointeffortoftheGlobalFundandtheWorldBankontheissu

4、eofcoordinationandalignmentwehavealsoincludedinthisreportabriefupdateonthiseffort(SectionIV).II.FinancialStatusReportontheGlobalFundTrustFund2.DonorContributionsandInvestmentIncome:Todate,theTrusteehasworkedwithand1signedcontributionagreementswith46donorswithtotalcontribut

5、ionsreceivedincashandpromissorynotesof$5.0billion.Contributionsreceivedduringthecalendaryear2005totaled$1.4billion.Contributionsduringthefirstquarterofcalendaryear2006were$259million.Detailsofcontributionsreceived,bydonor,arelistedinAnnexI.Contributionreceiptsduringthefirs

6、tquarterofthecalendaryearhavetodategenerallybeenlimited.Thebulkofannualcontributionshavebeenreceivedinthesecondandthirdquarterofthecalendaryear.Thequarter-by-quarterpatternofcontributionreceiptsforthelasttwoyearsisshownintheTable1below.1Theactualnumberofdonorsthathavecontr

7、ibutedtotheGlobalFundisgreaterthan46sincetheUNFoundationreceivescontributionsfromindividualdonors.ThesecontributionsarepooledandpaidtotheTrustFundbytheUNFoundation.Itisalsoexpectedthatnewinitiativesincluding:theREDinitiativeandtheInternationalSolidarityLevy(airlinetax)will

8、generatecontributionsfrommultipledonorswhichmayinitiallyflowtotheGlobalFundandsubsequentl
