2、hatformitoccursandhowwetreatedit.ItisdemonstratedthattheGuyer-KrumhanslequationcanbethenextappropriateextensionofFourier'slawforroomtemperaturephenomenainmodelingofheterogeneousmaterials.Thesecondapproachprovidesaninterpretationofgeneralizedheatconduc-tionequationsusingasimplethermomecha
3、nicalbackground.Here,Fourierheatconductioniscoupledtoelasticityviathermalexpansion,resultinginaparticulargeneralizedheatequationforthetemperatureeld.Bothoftheaforementionedapproachesshowthesizedependencyofnon-Fourierheatcon-duction.Finally,athirdapproachispresented,calledpseudo-temperat

6、fthemoccuratlowtemperatureliketheso-calledsecondsoundandballistic(thermalexpansioninduced)propaga-tion[2,3,4,5,6,7].Thesephenomenahavebeenexperimentallymeasuredseveraltimes[8,9,10,11]andmanygeneralizedheatequationsexisttosimulatethem[12,13,14,15,16,17,21].Thesuccessinlow-temperatureexper
