5、stoaidscientificdiscovery.Aspartofitsactivities,theSciDAC-2CenterforScalableApplicationDevelopmentSoftware(CScADS)isbuildingopensourcesoftwaretoolstosupportefficientscientificcomputingontheemergingleadership-classplatforms.Inthispaper,wedescribetwotoolsforperformanceanalysisand

6、tuningthatarebeingdevelopedaspartofCScADS:atoolforanalyzingscalabilityandperformance,andatoolforoptimizingloopnestsforbetternodeperformance.WemotivatethesetoolsbyshowinghowtheyapplytoS3D,aturbulentcombustioncodeunderdevelopmentatSandiaNationalLaboratory.ForS3D,ournodeperfor
