5、tructure1IntroductionFDIcanupgradetheindustrialstructureofthehostcountry.ThiseffectisconsideredoneofthewelfareeffectswhichFDIbrought(Markuson,Venables,1999).KeshaGuo(2000)thoughtthatFDIpromotednotonlythehighdegreeprocessingoftheindustrialstructure,butalso
6、thedevelopmentoftechnology-intensiveindustries.XiaojuanJiang(2002)thoughtthatforeigndirectinvestmentcontributedpositivelyontheupgradingofChineseindustrialstructureandtheexpandingofexports.Apartfromthese,foreigndirectinvestmentcanalsoimprovethestructureofe
7、xportcommodities,andboostuptheirresearchanddevelopmentcapabilities.JianguoXie(2003)foundthatFDIcouldupgradetheexportcompetitivenessofChineseindustrialproducts,especiallythehigh-techproducts.FDIwasalsoconducivetooptimizetheindustrialstructure,andpromotethe
8、migrationfromChineseexportstructuretothehigh-techproductsexportstructure.SongJing(2005)studiedfromtheperspectiveofforeigntradeandfoundthatforeigndirectinvestmentweakenedthecomparativeadvantageofChinesecapital-andtec
