2、bedpresuppositionfromvariousperspectives.Meanwhile,theyhadmademuchcontributiontothestudyofpragmaticpresuppositionandishardformetomakesomethingnew.Butitispossibleformetotrytoanalysisthepragmaticpresuppositionfromanewperspective—LanguageNetworkofWordGr

3、ammar.WordGrammar(henceforward:WG)isatheoryoflanguagewhichtouchesonalmostallaspectsofsynchroniclinguisticsandunifiesthemallthroughasingleverygeneralclaim(Hudson1984:1):TheNetworkPostulate:Languageisaconceptualnetwork.Pragmaticpresuppositionistreateda

4、stheknowledgepresupposedbeforehandbetweentwopartiesinverbalcommunication.Andlanguageplaysthebasicroleinthecommunication.InWG,languageisnothingbutanetwork–therearenorules,principles,orparameterstocompletethework.Thenodesmeananotionoflanguageandlinkspo

5、inttotherelationsbetweenthenotions.AndIsaisastandardnotationinWGdiagrams:asmalltrianglewhosebaseisnexttothesupercategoryandwhoseapexisconnectedtothesubcategories.(Thetriangleisiconic:thebaseislargerthantheapex,asthesupercategoryislargerthanthesubcate
