3、measures,theConferenceofthePartiesatitsninthmeetingdecidedtoputmoreemphasisontheimplementationoftheprogrammeofworkthroughenhancedsharingofinformationongoodpractices,lessonslearned,difficultiesencountered,andotherpracticalexperienceonitsimplementation,andrequestedtheExecutiv
4、eSecretarytoconveneaninternationalworkshopontheremovalandmitigationofperverse,andthepromotionofpositive,incentivemeasures,consistingofgovernment-nominatedpractitionerswithbalancedregionalrepresentation,aswellasexpertsfromrelevantorganizationsandstakeholders(decision IX/6,pa
5、ragraphs2and6).Theworkshopwastaskedtocollect,exchangeandanalyseinformation,includingcase-studies-on,goodpracticesfor,andlessonslearnedfrom,concreteandpracticalexperiencesinidentifyingandremovingormitigatingperverseincentivemeasures,andinpromotingpositiveincentivemeasures,an
6、dtoidentifyalimitednumberofgood-practicecasesfromdifferentregions,forconsiderationbytheSubsidiaryBodyonScientific,TechnicalandTechnologicalAdviceatitsfourteenthmeetingandreviewbytheConferenceofthePartiesatitstenthmeeting.2.Preparationswereundertakenasrequestedinthedecision
7、SeedocumentUNEP/CBD/SBSTTA/14/17fordetails.andtheworkshopwasheldfrom6to8October2009,withfinancialassistancefromtheGovernmentofSpainandhostedbytheDivisionofTechnology,IndustryandEconomicsoftheUnitedNationalEnvironmentProgramme(UNEP-DTIE)inParis,France.TheparticipantsintheWor
8、kshopwereselectedfromamonggovernment-nominatedpractitioners,takingintoaccounttheir
