2、dsoftwareforspeedcontrolandprotectionwiththeresultsobtainedfromtestsoninductionmotorperformanceisprovided.ThePLCcorrelatestheoperationalparameterstothespeedrequestedbytheuserandmonitorsthesystemduringnormaloperationandundertripconditions.Testsoftheinductionmotorsystemdrivenbyinvertera
3、ndcontrolledbyPLCproveahigheraccuracyinspeedregulationascomparedtoaconventionalVfcontrolsystem.TheefficiencyofPLCcontrolisincreasedathighspeedsupto95%ofthesynchronousspeed.Thus,PLCprovesthemselvesasaveryversatileandeffectivetoolinindustrialcontrolofelectricdrives.IndexTerms—Computer-c

5、werelectronicsinelectricmachinesapplicationshasbeenintroducedinthemanufacturingautomation[1],[2].Thisuseoffersadvantagessuchaslowervoltagedropwhenturnedonandtheabilitytocontrolmotorsandotherequipmentwithavirtuallyunitypowerfactor[3].ManyfactoriesusePLCsinautomationprocessestodiminishp
6、roductioncostandtoincreasequalityandreliability[4]–[9].Otherapplicationsincludemachinetoolswithimprovedprecisioncomputerizednumericalcontrol(CNC)duetotheuseofPLCs[10].Toobtainaccurateindustrialelectricdrivesystems,itisnecessarytousePLCsinterfacedwithpowerconverters,personalcomputers,a
