3、nverterandcontrolledbyPLCproveahigheraccuracyinspeedregulationascomparedtoaconventionalVfcontrolsystem.TheefficiencyofPLCcontrolisincreasedathighspeedsupto95%ofthesynchronousspeed.Thus,PLCprovesthemselvesasaveryversatileandeffectivetoolinindustrialcontrolofelectricdrives.IndexTerms—

5、(PLCs)withpowerelectronicsinelectricmachinesapplicationshasbeenintroducedinthemanufacturingautomation[1],[2].Thisuseoffersadvantagessuchaslowervoltagedropwhenturnedonandtheabilitytocontrolmotorsandotherequipmentwithavirtuallyunitypowerfactor[3].ManyfactoriesusePLCsinautomationproces
6、sestodiminishproductioncostandtoincreasequalityandreliability[4]-[9].Otherapplicationsincludemachinetoolswithimprovedprecisioncomputerizednumericalcontrol(CNC)duetotheuseofPLCs[10].Toobtainaccurateindustrialelectricdrivesystems,itisnecessarytousePLCsinterfacedwithpowerconverters,per
7、sonalcomputers,andotherelectricequipment[11]-[13].Nevertheless,thismakestheequipmentmoresophisticated,complex,andexpensive[14],[⑸.FewpaperswerepublishedconcerningdemachinescontrolledbyPLCs.Theyreportboththeimplementationofthefuzzymethodforspeedcontrolofademotor/generatorsetusingaPLC
