3、port’shighlightsarethefollowingimportantdevelopments:1.ThemostimportantpositiveresultinaspecificcaseduringtheperiodunderreviewwastheindictmentinHungaryinJuly2012offormerKosice(Hungarian-occupiedSlovakia)ghettocommanderLaszloCsataryforhisroleinthemassdeportationofapproximately15,700JewstotheA
4、uschwitzdeathcampinthespringof1944.CsatarywhowassentencedtodeathinabsentiainCzechoslovakiain1948escapedtoCanada,wherealmostfiftyyearslaterhewasstrippedofhisCanadiancitizenshipforconcealinghiswartimeroleinthepersecutionofJews.CsataryvoluntarilyleftCanadaandhiswhereaboutswereunknownuntilhewasd
5、iscoveredlivinginBudapestbytheWiesenthalCenter.OnJuly17,2012,hewasindicted,placedunderhousearrest,andhadhispassportconfiscated,asheawaitspossiblecriminalprosecution.2.TwonewnamesappearontheCenter’slatest“MostWanted”list,thoseofarmedSS-Death’sHeadcampguardsHans(Antanas)LipschisandTheodorSzehi
6、nskyj,bothofwhomescapedtotheUnitedStatesafterWorldWarII.WhiletheformerwasdeportedtoGermany,whereheiscurrently9underinvestigation,thelatterwasordereddeportedadecadeagofromtheUnitedStates.Untilnow,however,nocountryhasbeenwillingtoadmithim.ThesenamesreplaceKlaasFaber(#2),whodiedbeforehecouldbei
