3、procedures(i.c.themonitoringofchildren’Swritingdevelopment,anecdotalrecords,andobservations)undertakenbyteachersintheclassroomasanintegralpartofthenormalinstructionandlearningprocessinordertomodify,guide,andenhancelearningandunderstanding".Theheartoftheformativeevaluator'sstrategyist

4、ogatherempiricalevidenceregardingtheefficacyofvariouscomponentsoftheinstructionalsequenceandthentoconsiderthisevidenceinordertoisolatedeficitsandsuggestmodifications(Popham1998:93).Theoverridingphilosophyofformativeassessmentisthatstudentscanassumefullresponsibilityandbecomeautonomou

5、sintheirlearningactivities.Formativeassessmentincludesstudents’self-assessment,peer-assessment,andassessmentconductedbyteachersandschooladministrators.Bykeepingarecordofstudents’inandoutsideofclassroomactivitiesandself-learningdata,keepingfilesonstudents’studyresults,conductinginterv

6、iewsandholdingmeetings,students’learningprocessisunderobservation,evaluationandsupervision,thuscontributingtotheenhancementoftheirlearningefficiency.Formativeassessmentisparticularlyimportantincomputer-basedteachingwhichischaracterizedbystudents’independentlearning(Requirements2004:2
