5、ctiveProgramming(MPC)andApproximateDynamicProgramming(APC).Itisasuitablecontrolalgorithmfornonlinearsystemsasitdoesnotrequirethesystemdynamicstobelinearized.Itsconvergencerateisalsofastasthecostatevariablearemadestaticandhencestaticoptimizationtechniquescanbeapplied

6、toobtainasolutionwithouttheneedtosolvetwo-pointboundaryvalueproblemswhileseekingoptimalsolutionsindirectly.Moreover,sinceMPSPposesthedesiredconditionsasasetof„hardconstraints‟,thefinalaccuracylevelachievedisveryhigh.MPSPcontrolcanfurtherbeappliedasareferencecontrolf

7、oralreadyexistingtrackingcontrollersina2DoFconfigurationtohandleunwantedoutputdisturbance.Thistechniquecanbeappliedinanyrendezvousscenariosuchasmissilecontrol,planet-to-planetorbittransferetc.IthasbeenappliedheretotheEarth-Marslow-thrusttransferandtestcaseswithdiffe
