2、partofprocessofconstructvalidation:"therelationshipbetweentestperformanceandtheconstruct,orability,itisintendedtomeasure^^(Anderson,Bachman,Perkins,&Cohen,1991).Inshort,asCohen(1994)hasnoted,“inordertoassessreadingcomprehensioninasecondorforeignlanguage,itisnecess

3、arytohaveaworkingknowledgeofwhatthatprocessentails^^・AsBachmanandPalmer(1996)morerecentlyhavestated,"unlesswecandemonstratethattheinferences(aboutlanguageability)wemakeonthebasisoflanguagetestsarevalid,wehavenojustificationforusingtestscoresformakingdecisionsaboutindi

4、viduals...wemustdemonstratethattheseinferencesareappropriateforthedecisionsweneedtomake".Andrecently,Chinesescholarhadfoundthat"Theresultshaveshowntentativelythatthereexistcertainpatternsofrelationshipamongspecificquestiontypes,readingstrategiesandreadingperformance.(

5、Zou,2002).Consequently,itisimportanttohavegoodinsightintowhatitispeoplewhotakereadingcomprehensiontestsdoinordertocompletethem.Sointhispaper,themainmethodologywillbeverbalreport・Andacasestudyaboutthedifferenttest-takingstrategieswillbedonebetweenonehighachievedtest-ta
