3、entioneffects.Methods:WeinquirytheconcentrationofdrinkingwaterinPuyangforfindingtheendemicgoiter.Theepidemicinquiriesaredonetostudytheprevalencepoints.Themethodofimprovingwatertoreduceiodineisdonetoobservethepreventioneffects.Results:InLinbar,LinlouandHewavillagesofTaiqian,goiterrateis6.4%andtumef
4、actionrate22.4%inLinlou,iodineconcentrationofdrinkingwateris1059.6±533.8μg/L,urinary[3]iodineis924.9±891.8μg/L.thyroiduptakeIrateof24hoursisunder15%.Theseareendemicgoiterareasaccordingtothestandard.In1993,onedrinking-waterprojectwasbuiltinLinlouvillageofTaiqiancounty.Theconcentrationofdrink2ingwat
5、erdecreasefrom420～2000μg/Lto110μg/L.After6yrarsgoiterratedecreasefrom21.15%to8.2%,urinaryio2[3]dinefrom924.9±691.8μg/Lto172.0±83.1μg/L,andthyroiduptakeIrateof24improvefrom13.3%±5.8%to28.6%±917%.Conclusion:TheendemicgoiterisexistinHenanprovince.ThemethodofimprovingwatertoreduceIodinecaneffectivelyp
