2、r,EngineeringandAnalysisDivisionrequirescontractorsupporttoprovideenvironmentalengineeringsupportforcleanwaterregulations.Thisenvironmentalengineeringsupportisexpectedtoincludeprofessionalprogrammanagers,engineers,scientists,techniciansandadministrativeserviceswithexperienceinC

3、leanWaterAct(CWA)regulations,industrialwastewatertreatmentandmonitoringandpollutionpreventiontechnologies.TheCleanWaterActdirectstheEPAtodeveloptechnologybasedregulationslimitingthereleaseofcontaminantsfromindustrialprocessestothenation’swaterways.Thesenationaltechnologybasedre

4、gulations,calledeffluentlimitationsguidelines,pretreatmentstandardsandnewsourceperformancestandardsapplytoexistingandnewindustrialprocessesthatreleasewaterdirectlytosurfacewaters(directdischargers)aswellastofacilitiesthatreleasewatertomunicipalwastewatertreatmentplants(indirect

5、dischargers).Effluentlimitationsguidelines,pretreatmentstandardsandnewsourceperformancestandardsareimplementedandareenforceablethroughNationalPollutantDischargeEliminationSystem(NPDES)permitsissuedtoindustrialfacilities.Thepurposeofthisannouncementistoidentifypotentialsmallbusi

6、nesseswiththecapabilitytoperformalloraportionoftherequirementsdefinedintheattacheddraftPerformanceWorkStatement(PWS)andtofurtherdeterminewhetherornotalloraportionoftheworkcanbeset-asideforpotentialsmallbusinessessources.TheNorthAmericanIndustryClassificationSystem(NAICS)codefor

7、thisrequirementis541620,EnvironmentalConsultingServices,withasizestandardof$7Million.Thisindustrycomprisesestablishmentsprimarilyengagedinprovidingadviceandassistancetobusinessesandotherorganizationsonenvironmentalissues,suchasthecontrolofenvironmentalcontaminationfrompollutant
