2、PA)OfficeofWater,OfficeofGroundWaterandDrinkingWater(OGWDW),TechnicalSupportCenterrequirescontractorsupporttoprovidelaboratoryservicescontractsundertheUnregulatedContaminantMonitoringRegulation(UCMR)implementationprogram.EPAisresponsibleforinvestigatingchemical,radiologicalandmicrobiologicalcontam

3、inantoccurrenceinanefforttocharacterizedrinkingwater.EPAreliesonindependentresearchefforts(e.g.,UnitedStatesGeologicalSurvey[USGS]studies)andisheavilyengagedinconductingoccurrencestudiestoobtainnewdata.ThelargestoccurrencestudyisthemonitoringprogrammandatedbytheUCMR.UCMRisa5-yearcyclicmonitoringpr

4、ogramthatallowsOGWDWtoevaluatecontaminantoccurrenceinfinisheddrinkingwater.Everyfiveyears,theUCMRisredefinedthroughregulatoryproposalandpromulgation.MonitoringresultscollectedundertheUCMRarecorrelatedwithpopulationdatatoobtainanexposureassessmentforeachcontaminant.Ifwarranted,exposureinformationfr

5、omtheUCMRisthencombinedwithhealtheffectsandwatertreatmentcontrolinformationtodetermineamaximumcontaminantlevel(MCL)foracontaminantasaNationalPrimaryDrinkingWaterStandard(NPDWS).Thissoundsciencestrategyprovidesthebasisformaximizingpublichealthprotection.Thepurposeofthisannouncementistoidentifypoten

6、tialsmallbusinesseswiththecapabilitytoperformalloraportionoftherequirementsdefinedintheattacheddraftPerformanceWorkStatement(PWS)andtofurtherdeterminewhetherornotalloraportionoftheworkcanbeset-asideforpotentialsmallbusinessessources.TheNorthAmericanIndustryClassificationSystem(NAICS)codeforthisreq
